Once you graduate with an associate of applied science degree in nursing and pass the NCLEX-RN exam, you may experience a number of employment options.
What Can You Do with an Associate Degree in Nursing?
Here are a few places you can work as a registered nurse with an associates degree:
- Hospitals
- Schools
- Home healthcare services
- Insurance carriers
- Nursing care facilities
- Doctor’s offices
- Specialty hospitals
- Outpatient care centers
- Offices of other health practitioners
- Colleges, universities and professional schools
- Continuing care retirement communities and assisted living facilities
Nursing positions can consist of working as a team member or independently to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
