Career Information
Once you graduate with an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing and pass the NCLEX-RN exam, you may experience a number of employment options that consist of working as a team member or independently to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.
Registered nurse's typically work in the following areas:
- Hospitals
- Schools
- Home health care services
- Insurance carriers
- Nursing care facilities
- Doctor’s offices
- Specialty hospitals
- Outpatient care centers
- Offices of other health practitioners
- Colleges, universities and professional schools
- Continuing care retirement communities and assisted living facilities
