Make a Difference as CNA or PCA+
About the Certified Nursing Assistant and Patient Care Assistant Plus Programs:
Within the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program, students develop health care
competencies in safety, infection control, vital signs, and working with geriatric
residents in long term care facilities. Upon successful completion of this three credit
hour course, students are eligible to take the State Nurse Assistant Certification
Within the Patient Care Assistant Plus (PCA+) program, students build on their skills obtained in the CNA course in an acute care setting. Upon completion of this three hour credit course, students will have their CPR certification.
