Student Association for Respiratory Studies


SARS logoThe Student Association for Respiratory Studies (SARS) at NWACC is open to any NWACC student who shares a passion for pulmonary health and the profession of Respiratory Therapy and maintains a 2.5 GPA.

The purpose of SARS is to promote Respiratory Therapy and cardiopulmonary health on the NWACC campus, in the Northwest Arkansas community, and to support NWACC Respiratory Therapy students in professional development activities via fundraising. The SARS club is active on campus and in the community participating in NWACC Food Pantry, food drive, club fairs, employee wellness/benefits fairs, National Respiratory Care week activities, various health promotion walks, drug and alcohol awareness, SGA Halloween Carnival, open houses at NWACC, and fundraising events.

Annual club dues are $10, payable by April 1st at any club meeting. Meetings occur on first Monday of the month at 12 PM, Center for Health Professions, 2039.
