Master the Art of Communication with English
English is much more than just dangling participles, adverbs, and semicolons. It’s a broad area of study that includes many disciplines - composition, humanities, literature, creative writing, and so on. English embodies all the ways humans use language and art to communicate with each other.
In addition to the first-year composition course, the college offers classroom and
online courses in literatures, the humanities, creative writing, academic writing,
personal writing, film studies, women's studies, journalism, and more.
The English program includes five concentrations:
- Composition
- Creative Writing
- English Humanities
- Journalism
- Literature
Certificate:
The knowledge and skills acquired while earning a Certificate in ??? can help launch you into a new career or energize your current job. Generally requiring
fewer credit hours than degrees or transfer programs, a Certificate may be your best
first step into higher education.
