Enrich Your Life by Studying Music
Whether you’re interested in recording and production or in music composition, live performance, and teaching, the music industry includes hundreds of careers that require expert skills and talent from its professionals.
Music is expressive, dramatic, and emotional. And our response to music is more than just the passive reception of pleasure.
The Music program at NWACC prepares students who want to transfer to a four-year program in music performance by providing fundamental musical skills, including theory, performance, composition, and history. Our faculty includes many professional and award-winning musicians who are passionate about supporting and guiding aspiring musicians.
The Music Department offers courses in both traditional and commercial music for students who plan on transferring as music majors to four-year institutions, for those who need to satisfy general education requirements, and for those who wish to earn a certificate or associate degree in traditional or commercial music.
