Anthropology courses offer you the opportunity to study humanity by examining the origin, behavior and development of humans and what it means to be human in the cultural sense. You'll learn how scientific research methodology allows us to see how human groups lived thousands of years ago and discover how culture and values have evolved over time.

Many of NWACC's transfer degrees include anthropology courses, including the associate of arts degree with an emphasis in global studies.

Transferring to a four-year university and pursuing a bachelor's degree in anthropology can lead to employment in teaching, institutional research, international business, conservation, public health, social services and more.
