NWACC Tests
Use NWACC's testing center to take placement tests, online and make-up exams, the biological concepts exam, the computer challenge and more.
- The testing center is a weapons free zone. Please leave your weapon in your vehicle.
- If NWACC is closed, the testing center is closed. Notifications are posted on the NWACC homepage.

The Accuplacer exam must be taken for initial course placement and be less than 5 years old. State law requires a placement test that demonstrates academic preparedness in reading, writing, and math. NWACC accepts ACT or Accuplacer. Study materials and practice tests are available. Use the Placement Chart to see NWACC’s test score requirements.
The Accuplacer is a self-paced computerized exam offered in-person on the Bentonville campus or through an online remote proctoring service called Examity. Please see the information below for information about each option for testing.
IN-PERSON ACCUPLACER TESTING ON THE BENTONVILLE CAMPUS
- Appointments are required. Proctoring for this exam is offered Monday -Thursday from 8:00 am – 7:00 pm (last test is seated at 5 pm) and Friday – Saturday, 8:00 am – 1:00 pm (last test seated at 11:00 am)
- Accuplacer fee is $10 per exam. All payments must be made through the link below. Cash is not accepted. Once payment is received, you will receive an email confirmation of your appointment. Seating is limited so same day appointment requests will not be honored.
- Students are provided scratch paper and a calculator is built into the test. Students may NOT bring their own materials.
- There is no time limit.

VIRTUAL ACCUPLACER TESTING THROUGH EXAMITY
- Students will need a device for testing (desktop computer, laptop, or Chromebook), a steady internet connection, webcam, microphone and a distraction-free environment.
- Accuplacer fee is $10 per exam. An additional proctor fee of $25 will be paid to Examity per testing appointment.
- Once payment is received, you will receive an email from Accuplacer with directions on setting up an appointment through Examity.
- There is no time limit.
Schedule and Pay for Virtual Accuplacer Exam
Accuplacer has a free mobile study app that can be downloaded to your devices. There are online study guides and practice tests available also. It is highly advisable that you refresh your skills before taking this placement test.
How To Schedule NWACC Course Exams
- Click ‘Schedule Appointment’ and click ‘Log In’.
- If you have never scheduled an appointment before, click ‘Register as a New User’.
- Your ID number can be your NWACC ID number or your phone number without the area code.
- Your login credentials are the ID number that you use, and your password will automatically be set to be your last name in lower case letters.
- If you have never scheduled an appointment before, click ‘Register as a New User’.
- Click ‘Create Student Appointment’.
- Select a category based on whether your test is paper/pencil, computer exam, or if you are a student with accommodations.
- Select a reason by selecting the name of your instructor and subject for this exam.
- If your instructor is not listed, scroll to ‘Other Instructor’ and select the subject area.
- For ease of use, select ‘Single Day View under Appointment Selection Type and then click ‘Next’.
- Choose your availability.
- You will NOT be able schedule same day appointments, so plan ahead!
- Choose a start time under any of the stations listed by clicking on a green box.
- Each box is a half hour (30 minute) increment so make sure you have enough green boxes in consecutive time listings for your exam.
- Last test is seated at 5:00 pm, Monday-Thursday and 11:00 am Friday – Saturday. The last seating of the day will require you to have your exam finished within two hours even if your instructor grants you a longer testing time. Keep this in mind when scheduling to allocate enough time.
- At this point, you will either see a confirmation box or an error box. Any errors can be corrected by returning to the previous screen.
- You will receive an email confirmation when your appointment has been successfully
scheduled.
- Please forward the confirmation email to your instructor so they know when materials need to be delivered to the Testing Center.
- Don't forget to bring a valid photo ID with you when you come to the Testing Center.
If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, you will not be seated for your exam and you will have to reschedule.
- You can also check your appointments, or change your appointments, at any time by logging in and clicking on the box titled ‘Scheduled Appointments’.
- Under no circumstances will tests be seated after the doors are closed at 5:15 pm, Monday – Thursday and 11:15 am, Friday – Saturday.
Biological Concepts
- Assessment of biological knowledge as a prerequisite option for BIOL 1544, which is required for Anatomy and Physiology I.
- The computerized test consists of sixty multiple choice questions. A score of 23 is needed in order to pass.
- One re-test is allowed.
