Marquez Brings Extensive Recruiting Ties As NWACC Builds Its Inaugural Roster

Nick Marquez

Nick Marquez has been named the inaugural Head Women’s Soccer Coach at NWACC, effective July 26. Marquez has a reputation for building competitive, player-first programs that empower women through sport. He is a veteran coach, program architect and leader in women’s soccer development and brings more than 20 years of experience in coaching, leadership and program-building to the role.

Marquez is the Founder and former Executive Director of FIERCE United, a female-forward club based in Austin, Texas. Since its launch in 2019, he built FIERCE into one of the state’s most respected programs with more than 300 players across 20 teams, multiple national finals appearances and a consistent pipeline of athletes advancing to NCAA and semi-pro levels.

Marquez also founded the Austin Futsal League, one of the region’s first structured futsal ecosystems focused on ball mastery, creativity and intelligent decision-making.

As a player, Marquez starred at St. Pius X High School in New Mexico, where he captained multiple state championship teams as part of a program that won nine consecutive state titles. He also earned All-State honors as an attacking midfielder and competed in the Olympic Development Program throughout the region.

Marquez brings extensive recruiting ties across Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Colorado, Florida and California – connections that will be critical as NWACC builds its inaugural roster and establishes itself as a destination for top talent in the region.
