The technical certificate courses are required to be admitted into the UAMS diagnostic medical sonography program to pursue a bachelor's degree.
After earning a Technical Certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography at NWACC, you can then transfer credits to pursue a bachelor's degree at UAMS.
The bachelor program at UAMS is a full-time, day program with a cohort of 47-50 students beginning each fall semester in Little Rock and Fayetteville. It consists of five semesters and 35 credits of prerequisite coursework and 73 credits in the RDMS curriculum for a total of 120 credits.
