Achieve Success in the Radiologic Imaging Sciences

Follow NWACC's academic road map to earn a certificate of proficiency and technical certificate in radiologic imaging sciences and apply for the Radiologic Sciences program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), where you can then earn your bachelor's degree.

Once you complete the certificate of proficiency in pre-radiologic sciences, you may apply to the UAMS Radiologic Sciences program. Students must complete 19 hours.

Once you complete the certificate of proficiency in pre-radiologic sciences, you must complete the technical certificate in order to fulfill the pre-requisite requirements for the UAMS Radiologic Sciences program.

The Bachelor of Science degree program at UAMS is a full-time, day program with a cohort of 35-37 students beginning each fall semester in Little Rock and Fayetteville. It consists of six semesters and 35 credits of prerequisite course work and 85 credits in the RIS curriculum for a total of 120 credits.
