The PTA program curriculum is very demanding with many required hours in and outside of the classroom. It's recommended that you work no more than 20 hours per week.

Once Accepted

You will begin the technical phase of the Hybrid PTA Program curriculum in January. After completing the first spring semester, you will progress through the summer, fall, and second spring semesters before completing the final summer semester. Clinical education is integrated throughout the program, including a full-time clinical experience during the second spring semester and two full-time clinical internships during the final summer semester. This sequence allows students to progressively apply classroom knowledge and skills in real-world patient care settings.

Clinicals

Clinical placements are subject to criminal background checks, drug screening requirements, and any additional policies established by clinical education partners. Students may be required to complete clinical sites outside their home community and are responsible for any associated transportation, lodging, and related expenses incurred during clinical internships.

Service Learning

In addition to your coursework, you must complete 20 hours of service learning for regional non-profit agencies by the end of your last spring semester.
