A new student is one who has never been to college.

  • Application for Admissions - Pay a $10.00 application fee at the Cashier’s Office or call 479-619-4291 to pay by credit card.
  • Placement Scores* (ACT, SAT or COMPASS) - If you have not completed college level reading, writing, and math courses, please visit the admissions department to sign up for the COMPASS test.
  • Advisement - Advising is available at the Learner Development Center and the Washington County Center.

  • Student Photo ID - Get your student ID at the Learner Development Center located on the 2nd floor of the Student Center.

  • Purchase Textbooks - When purchasing books on campus, be sure to take a copy of your class schedule.

Returning to NWACC Back to Top

A returning student is one who has attended NWACC in the past and is returning to take additional classes.

Visiting Summer Students* Back to Top

A visiting student is one who is taking courses at NWACC only for the summer and transferring their credit to another institution. 

Be sure to contact your college or university advisor to determine transferability to your institution.

Transfer to NWACC Back to Top

A student admitted as a “transfer” is one who has successfully completed six (6) hours of college level courses at another regionally accredited college or university.

Pay a $10.00 application fee, for new students (never been to college)

Pay a $5.00 application fee, for returning students (have previously attended NWACC)

Transfer from NWACC Back to Top

  • Request an official transcript:
    • Fill out a Transcript Request form at the Student Records office
    • Go to Student Records and click on Transcript Request.  Fill out the request form and submit it to the Student Records office.

* Appropriate test scores, transcripts, and current college or university schedules are used to determine placement in college level courses.  You must have documentation proving you have met course pre-requisites before registering.  In some cases unofficial transcripts, grade reports, and current college/university schedules may be used by advisors to verify pre-requisite completion.  This document may be hand carried or faxed.

 

** Transcripts are considered official when your college or university mails them to NWACC or if you deliver the document in a sealed and stamped university envelope.

It is your responsibility to be sure you have everything in order prior to registration.
