Managing life's responsibilities during a pandemic- taking classes online, working more or working less, home schooling and social distancing from family and friends - can make it difficult to stay focused on achieving your educational goals and/or performing your job. Although there are many uncertainties in the world right now, one thing is certain: We will get through this together.
The purpose of this COVID-19 webpage is to keep our college community informed regarding NWACC's response to the pandemic. Please check this website often to stay up to date.
NOTE: Be sure to also monitor your NWACC email to stay updated on NWACC’s response to the
COVID-19 (coronavirus). Updates to the college's website: www.nwacc.edu/coronavirus will be done as quickly as possible.
IMPORTANT COVID-19 INFORMATION
NWACC REQUIRES face coverings at all college locations, even though the state mandate has ended.
NWACC students and employees are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. Find vaccine locations on the Arkansas Department of Health’s vaccination locator website or view NWA vaccine clinics at www.nwacouncil.org/nwavaccines/.
If you have experienced ANY of the following:
- Symptoms related to COVID-19 and/or
- Tested positive for COVID-19 and/or
- May have been exposed to (in close contact with) another person who has tested positive to COVID-19.
Please note: If your job or clinical rotation for your degree requires that you be exposed to those with COVID-19 (such as a job in health care), and you wear the proper PPE, there’s no need for you to report exposure to HR or Dean of Students.
DO NOT COME TO CAMPUS until you have been directed to do so by the Dean of Students office (if student) or Human Resources (if an employee).
If you are a student, please do the following:
- Report this information by emailing the Dean of Students office at email@example.com
- Email your instructor(s) to let them know you have experienced one (or more) of the items on the list above and cannot come to campus
If you are an employee, please do the following:
- Report this information by emailing Human Resources at COVIDhelp@nwacc.edu
- If you are an instructor and have an in-person/face-to-face class on campus, notify your students that the class is moving online or to remote synchronous.
