Tuesday and Wednesday
12 noon - 1:00 pm
Step 1) Make an Appointment
Log in to MyNWACC Connection and open Success Planner. Under the Services tab, find the Writing Center and locate Jacqueline Jones, our Online Tutor. Click on Schedule Online to make a 15 minute appointment during her available hours: Spring hours are T and W from 12pm - 1 pm
Step 2) E-mail your Draft
Submit a copy of the draft for review as a .doc, .docx, or .rtf format to firstname.lastname@example.org, Subject "Live Consultation." Please include in the e-mail when the assignment is due, what you would like to work on, and what are the assignment directions. Feel free to attach a copy of the assignment sheet in the e-mail. Make sure to submit your draft at least 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment.
Step 3) Get Connected
Open http://nwacc.adobeconnect.com/nwaccwrite/ on a personal computer or in the app, type this URL where it asks for you to join a meeting room. The Participant's Guide gives you instructions on how to enter the room as well as turn on your equipment.
To participate, you only need to have Flash installed on your computer, which most people already have. Students with iOS devices [which don't run Flash] will need to use the free Adobe Connect app.
I will be using a microphone and webcam. The iOS app will ask you to enable your camera and microphone, so you do not need any other equipment. If you really want to get the full experience of Adobe Connect, you might consider a webcam and a microphone, not just text chatting and/or a speaker features, but it is up to you. This might sound complicated, but it is not. Really!
