Early College Experience

High School Program

Early College Experience (ECE) at NWACC offers college courses to high school students in northwest Arkansas. These courses are taught by qualified instructors, and offer students the opportunity to earn transferable college credit in the supportive and familiar environment of the high school campus. Early College Experience enrollment provides a challenging college-level experience for 11th and 12th grade students. ECE students pay reduced college tuition, enjoy an enriching academic experience, and gain access to higher education.
ECE courses are offered in the areas of Business, Communication, English, Math, Social Science, etc. Click here for a complete list of courses, descriptions and prerequisites.
Eligible students must meet the following criteria to participate in the Early College Experience program:
  ♦ Be enrolled in grades 10-12 in a participating high school
  ♦ Have a high school cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 grading system
  ♦ Have the appropriate placement scores in ACT, SAT, COMPASS, or Accuplacer
