With degree and certificate opportunities in Criminal Justice, Early Childhood Education and Paralegal Studies, students are prepared for exciting career opportunities in expanding job markets. Global Studies, Teacher Education and Child Advocacy Studies provide transfer degree and certificate options for students planning to continue their education before entering the workforce.

Social and Behavioral Sciences departments have a myriad of general education and transfer courses in fields such as Anthropology, History, Philosophy, Psychology, Geography, Social Work, Political Science, and Sociology.

Health and Wellness offers a wide range of fitness, health, and personal safety classes, and provides many opportunities for students to participate in competitive team sports.  NWACC club sport teams include volleyball, fast and slow pitch softball, basketball, baseball, flag football, disk golf, bowling, and golf.

English for College and Career (ENGC) supports a linguistically and culturally diverse population of students for whom English is not the primary language of the extended family by offering courses that strengthen academic English skills necessary for college success or career advancement while allowing students to simultaneously take recommended general education courses.
