5 Languages of Appreciation

Appreciation at Work is the program developed by the co-authors of the book The 5 Languages of Appreciation in the Workplace – Dr. Gary Chapman and Dr. Paul White.  In addition to the 4 modules, this program includes the opportunity for participants to take the MBA (Motivating By Appreciation) assessment which identifies the participant’s primary and secondary language of appreciation as well as the least preferred language.  This program is not about adding another thing you “have to do” to your already full day.  It is about doing things you already do with a more effective outcome – because you have shown your appreciation in the language most meaningful to those with whom you work.  Implementation of the skills learned will have a positive impact on the culture of our organization.  To this end it is a goal of NWACC for all employees to participate in the program.

Appreciation at Work is a series of 4 modules 2 hours in length.  Registration for this program is capped at 15 participants.  Classes are scheduled throughout the year.  Participation in all four modules is required to receive a certificate of completion.  To date we have 41 completers – the transformation has begun.
