How to schedule an appointment with your Academic Advisor
Log-in to your myNWACC Connection account
Click on "Success Planner" and again when it drops down
Select the "Services" tab at the top of the Success Planner home screen.
Under "'Services", select the Advising Location of the Academic Advisor that you would like to meet with.
Example: If you would like to meet with a advisor at our Washington County Center (WCC) location, you would choose "Academic Advising Center (Washington County)" from the service options.
Please note: some advisors may be listed in 'Services' under their academic division. For example, the Division of Business and Computer Information.
Under "Service Members", choose an advisor listed and select "Schedule Appointment" option under the advisor.
Select the day/time that works best for and enter the required information.
When scheduling your appointment please select the most accurate "Reason" for your visit - this will help us prepare to see you.
If you require additional assistance or are unable to make an appointment online, please contact the Advising Center directly at (479) 619-4324.
Preparing for your Appointment
In preparation for your advising appointment, here are a few things you need to do to prepare:
Schedule your appointment in advance. At peak times of the year (such as April, November, or during the summer months) it may be difficult to get an appointment with your academic advisor at a moment's notice.
Prepare a selection of courses and print your degree plan. Include those courses that you'd like to take and/or think you may need for your degree or transfer plan.
For students intending to transfer after NWACC, familiarize yourself with the program/major requirements and/or admissions requirements for the school you plan on transferring to. Visit their website to obtain a list of courses that they require. This will help you and your advisor choose the most appropriate classes for your education.
Come with a list of questions and concerns written down. This will help you get the most out of your appointment and help us address your needs effectively.
And finally, show up early or on-time for your advising appointment. Remember to call to cancel or reschedule your appointment well in advance if you are unable to make it. This will allow another student to take your appointment time.
