New Student Open House
August 20th from 4 - 7pm
Bogel Plaza at Main Bentonville Campus, NWACC
Open to all students starting in Fall 2015!

The event will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Aug. 20 at Bogle Plaza and will include campus tours, help with setting up payment plans, assistance with setting up financial aid electronic refunds, fun activities and food. This event also will offer an opportunity to learn about college programs, resources, organizations and activities. The Office of Financial Aid and the Treasurer's Office will be open until 7 p.m. to assist students with questions related to federal student aid and payment plans

This event also provides an opportunity to come to campus and meet other students before the semester starts. The open house is free and open to the public.

Benton County College Fair
September 14, 2015 from 6 pm until 8 p.m.
Shewmaker Center for Workforce Technology at Main Bentonville Campus, NWACC
Benton County College Fair is your chance to talk to university representatives from across Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and more. Last year over 60 colleges including four and two year, military personnel, technical schools and more attended and were available to answer student's questions. This event is free and open to the public.

If you are attending we encourage you to register for the automated fairs online at gotocollegefairs.com. This registration produces a "Student Admittance Pass" which includes a barcode linked to your contact information. You would then present the "Student Admittance Pass" to a participating college representative. The college representative will scan the barcode, collecting the student's information. Almost all of the colleges in Arkansas will be participating in the gotocollegefairs.com automation system.

Benton County Transition Fair
October 29, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Shewmaker Center for Workforce Technology at Main Bentonville Campus, NWACC
The Benton County Transition Fair is an opportunity for students with 504 and/or IEP plans in Benton County to learn about resources for continuing their education beyond help. There will be a multitude of programs available to answer questions including NWACC, Job Corps, Arkansas Rehabilitation and more.

NWACC Senior Day
March 2016

Held annually the NWACC Senior Day is designed for high school seniors who are considering NWACC to have fun and learn more about their interests. High school students will get a change to talk to faculty and staff from the academic department they are interested in, speak to club advisors, meet current students, learn more about NWACC and see the campus. One student in attendance will win a free class. Lunch will be provided. There is no cost for this event however students MUST REGISTER because space is limited.

New Student Orientation

For newly admitted first-time college students, Orientation is the first step toward earning their degree. During our two-hour Orientation program, students receive valuable information on starting college. They also get personalized assistance in selecting their first semester classes and times. Other topics covered include:

  • Understanding how to select college classes and times
  • Tips on balancing school, work, and personal time as a new student
  • Essential info on financial aid
  • Understanding NWACC degree options
  • Opportunties to get involved on campus
  • Various other NWACC services

Important: Students must have been accepted and submitted full ACT/COMPASS placement scores before signing up for Orientation. Full details on Orientation available here.
