Golden Eagles are selected based on the following criteria:

3.0 minimum GPA
Minimum 6 credit hour enrollment
Intention to be enrolled through at least one semester of the next academic year (students selected for the Golden Eagle may be eligible for the Distinguished Golden Eagle at the end of the current academic year which awards the recipient up to an $1800 scholarship for the following year)
Commitment to education and social awareness/personal development
Involvement in varied co-curricular/community activities
