NWACC Scholarships
Thanks to our wonderful and generous donors, NWACC is able to provide over 130 scholarships to students.
Every year, NWACC's scholarship application cycle is open to students from Dec 1 - March 1, and awards are given during the following academic year.
The availability, application type, qualifications and award amounts are subject to change and can vary from academic year to academic year.
Students must be enrolled or will be enrolled at NWACC during the semester(s) for
which the scholarship will be awarded, and they must meet all requirements for an
NWACC scholarship to qualify to apply.
Types of Scholarships
DREAMers of NWACC
Application Type: Online
Availability: Main Cycle
- Must be an undocumented student
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0
- Must be an active member of the DREAMers of NWACC club
- Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours during the semester(s) in which awarded
Jack Shewmaker Memorial Enactus Scholarship
Application Type: Paper
Availability: Fall
- Must be an active Enactus member who is involved in multiple Enactus projects
- Must be the leader of at least one Enactus project
- Must participate in Enactus regional/national events and trainings
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0
LIFE Community Scholarship
Application Type: Paper
Availability: Summer
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.75
- Must demonstrate a commitment to education
- Must have financial need
- Must attend the LIFE Summer Program immediately following high school graduation
LIFE Endowed Scholarship
Application Type: Online
Availability: Main Cycle
- Must be of Hispanic or Latino descent
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5
- Must not be eligible to receive Federal Financial Aid
- Must have participated in LIFE Program events
- Must commit to continued participation in the LIFE Program while enrolled at NWACC
LIFE Legacy Scholarship

- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.75
- Must be an incoming NWACC freshman
- Must attend the LIFE Summer Program immediately following high school graduation
LIFE Program Scholarship

Availability: Summer
- Must be a high school senior
- Must have a minimum GPA of2.75
- Must be undocumented
- Must be enrolled at NWACC for following fall term
- Must be graduating from an Arkansas High School
- Must attend the LIFE Summer Program immediately following high school graduation
- Preference will be given to students graduating from a Benton, Washington, or Carroll county High School
Live Out Loud Scholarship
Application Type: Online
Availability: Main Cycle
- Must attend NorthWest Arkansas Community College as a full-time (12+hours) student seeking an Associates degree at NWACC
- Shall be a student who self identifies as LGBT+, is an active member of the Pride at NWACC student club, demonstrates a commitment to the LGBT+ community, and has a need for scholarship support.
- Must have completed at least one semester at NWACC and earned and maintain a minimum of a 2.0 grade-point average.
- Must agree to speak or present at a minimum of one special LGBT+ event each semester at advisor discretion. One of the reference letters needs to come from a current Pride at NWACC club advisor to verify active club participation.
Student Government & Ambassadors Association Scholarship

Dr. Mary Margaret Roberts Endowed Teaching Scholarship

- Must intend to complete at least a Bachelor's degree

Transportation, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management Program
J.B. Hunt Transport Inc., Logistics Scholarship

- Must be seeking a Transportation, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management degree/certificate
- Must be a non-Caucasian minority
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Must be willing to participate in mentoring opportunities with J.B. Hunt personnel
David Duff Correll Endowed Scholarship

- Must have documented Asperger's/Autism spectrum diagnosis
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0
- Must demonstrate financial need
As long as a scholarship does not state that citizenship is required to apply, then you can and should apply. The following scholarships were created specifically for International Students attending NWACC with an F-1 student visa. African Student Scholarship
Application Type: Online
Availability: Main Cycle
- Must be of African or Caribbean descent
- Must be an international student attending NWACC on F-1 Student Visa
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0
- Preference will be given to students of African descent
International Student Scholarship
Application Type: Online
Availability: Main Cycle
- Must be an international student with a F-1 student visa
- Must not be eligible to receive federal grants, loans, or work-study
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5
- Must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours in the semester(s) in which awarded
- Must be willing to volunteer with global and international education activities
- Must have demonstrated financial need
Coker Single Parent Scholarship
Application Type: Online
Availability: Main Cycle
- Must be a single parent
- Must not be receiving the Single Parent Scholarship of Benton Country, Washington County, or NWA
- Must be in good standing behaviorally and academically
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0
- Must be enrolled in a minimum of 3 credit hours during the semester(s) in which awarded
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Must provide documentation such as written statement and/or receipts, eviction notices, discontinued notices for utilities, etc.
Study Abroad Scholarship

- Must be enrolled in a study abroad course for credit
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0
- Must have successfully completed a minimum of 12 credit hours at time of departure
- Must remain in good judicial and academic standing
- Must have completed the application and paid application fee

- Must demonstrate community involvement
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0
- Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours for the semester(s) in which awarded

LIFE Endowed Scholarship

- Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours during semester(s) in which awarded
Home for Dinner
Application Type: Paper
Availability: Fall & Spring
- Must be a veteran of the U.S. Military, currently active duty, or a member of the National Guard
- Must be an Arkansas resident
- Must be willing to attend a Home for Dinner event
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0
- Preference will be given to students with demonstrated financial need
NWACC Service Learning Veteran's Scholarship
Application Type: Online
Availability: Main Cycle
- Must be currently serving in the U.S. military, received an honorable discharge from service, or be the child of a serviceperson who was killed in combat or as a result of injuries sustained in combat
- Must be able to provide proof of veteran's status by submitting a copy of the discharge papers or DD214 form
- Must submit a letter from a commanding officer recognizing either the honorable discharge or current honorable and professional service
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours in past two academic years
