First Generation Students

Typically, a first-generation college student is defined as one whose parents or legal guardians have not completed a bachelor’s degree. If you are the first to attend college, you are considered a first-generation student. Welcome to the NWACC family!

Being a first-generation student is a very proud accomplishment. The college recognizes that you may face unique experiences as you begin this exciting journey, and offers a variety of resources to support your academic success and transition to NWACC.

Next Steps:

  • Before applying, request a campus tour to find out more about NWACC.
  • Be sure to view degrees & certificates to look over your available options.
  • Visit enrollment support to help guide you through the key steps needed to complete the necessary requirements for moving forward to the next level, including application process.
  • Don't forget to meet with an advisor to help you navigate through your college experience.
