Reconnect NWACC Email


Here are some instructions to remove and re-add your student NWACC email account in Outlook and Apple Mail. 

Note: Rebooting your computer will mostly likely fix Outlook for Windows, however, if you continue to have issues, please follow the steps below to remove and re-add your account.

Remove your account from Microsoft Outlook for Windows:

  1. Click File in the top left corner of Outlook.
  2. Click the Account Settings button, then click Account Settings.
  3. In the Account Settings window, click on the Data Files
  4. Click Add, and then OK to create a file to temporarily store your Outlook data while removing and re-adding your account.
  5. In the Account Settings window, click on the Email
  6. Select your NWACC Exchange account from the list and click Remove in the top right.
    • You may be warned about offline cached content being deleted. Click Yes to continue.­­­­

Sign into your Office 365 Exchange account in the Microsoft Outlook desktop application for Windows:

  1. If you still have the Account Settings window open from step 6 of the previous section, skip to step 3. If you closed the window, click File in the top left corner of Outlook to show Account Information.
  2. Click the Account Settings button, then click Account Settings.
  3. In the Account Settings window, click on the Email Click New in the top left corner
  4. Enter your NWACC email address and click Connect.
  5. A Microsoft login box may appear requesting your password. Enter your NWACC password, then click Sign In.
  6. Close the Account Settings
  7. Click the arrow icon to the left of your NWACC email account name in the left panel to see your email inbox and folders.

Remove your account from Microsoft Outlook on macOS:

  1. Click Tools in the menu bar at the top left of the screen, and then Accounts.
  2. In the Accounts window, select your NWACC email account in the list at the left, and then click the - subtraction sign icon in the lower left to remove your account from this application.
    • When asked to confirm that you want to delete the account, click Delete to continue.

Sign into your Office 365 Exchange account in the Microsoft Outlook desktop application on macOS:

  1. If you closed the Accounts window in the previous section, first click Tools in the menu bar at the top left of the screen, and then Accounts.
  2. Click the plus icon in the lower left, and then click New Account, or click the Add Email Account
  3. Enter your NWACC email address and click Continue.
  4. A Microsoft login box will appear requesting your password. Enter your NWACC password, then click Sign In.
  5. Click Done and close the Accounts

Remove your account from the Apple Mail desktop application on macOS:

  1. Click Mail in the menu bar at the top left of the screen, then Accounts.
  2. In the Internet Accounts window, select your NWACC email account from the list at the left, then click the - subtraction sign icon in the lower left to remove your account.
    • When asked to confirm that you want to delete the account, click OK to continue.

Sign into your Office 365 Exchange account in the Apple Mail desktop application on MacOS:

If you are automatically prompted to add a new account when launching the Apple Mail application, skip to step 2.

  1. If you are not automatically prompted to add a new account, click Mail in the menu bar at the top left of the screen, then Add Account.
  2. In the Choose a Mail account provider...dialog, check the box for Exchange and click Continue.
  3. Enter your NWACC email address in the Email Address field and click Sign in.
  1. If you are asked whether you want to sign into your Exchange account using Microsoft, or to configure manually, click Sign in to continue.
  1. A Microsoft login box will appear requesting your password. Enter your NWACC password, then click Sign In.
  2. Click the Accept button to allow Apple Mail permission to access your mailbox, or Cancel to cancel adding the account.
  3. Select the Apple apps and account features you want to use with your Exchange account (e.g. Mail, Contacts, Calendars) and click Done.

Remove your account from the Microsoft Outlook app on iOS:

  1. Tap your user icon in the upper left of the screen to view your accounts and folders.
  2. Tap the settings gear icon in the lower right of this pane.
  3. Tap on your NWACC Exchange account under Mail Accounts.
  4. Tap Delete Account at the bottom of this page to remove it from the app.

Sign into your Office 365 Exchange account in the Microsoft Outlook app on iOS:

  1. If you are not prompted to add a new account when launching the app:
    1. Tap your user icon in the upper left of the screen to view your accounts and folders.
    2. Tap the settings gear icon in the lower right of this pane.
    3. Tap Add Mail Account under Mail Accounts.
  2. If another account is suggested, tap Skip.
  3. Enter your NWACC email address in the Email Address field and tap Add Account.
  4. A Microsoft login box will appear requesting your password. Enter your NWACC password, then click Sign In.
  5. After the account has been added, tap the X icon in the upper left of the screen to leave the settings screen. Pull down to refresh your inbox and download new messages.

Remove your account from the Apple Mail app on iOS:

  1. Launch the Settings Scroll down and tap Passwords & Accounts.
  2. Under Accounts, tap on your NWACC Exchange account.
  3. Scroll down and tap Delete Account to remove it from the Mail app on your device.

Sign into your Office 365 Exchange account in the Apple Mail app on iOS:

  1. Launch the Settings Scroll down and tap Passwords & Accounts.
  2. Under Accounts, tap Add Account, then choose Exchange.
  3. Enter your NWACC email address in the Email field and tap Next.
  1. A dialog may open asking if you would like to configure the account manually, or sign in automatically. Tap Sign In.
  1. A Microsoft login box will appear requesting your password. Enter your NWACC password, then click Sign In.
  2. A Microsoft sign in dialog may ask you to confirm that you are trying to sign into iOS Accounts. Tap Continue.
  3. Tap Save in the upper right to finish adding the account.
 

Remove your account from the Microsoft Outlook app on Android:

  1. Tap the hamburger menu icon in the upper left of the screen to view your accounts and folders.
  2. Tap the settings gear icon in the lower left of this pane.
  3. Tap on your NWACC Exchange account under Accounts.
  4. Tap Delete Account at the bottom of this page to remove it from the app.

Sign into your Office 365 Exchange account in the Microsoft Outlook app on Android:

  1. If you are not prompted to add a new account when launching the app:
    1. Tap the hamburger menu icon in the upper left of the screen to view your accounts and folders.
    2. Tap the settings gear icon in the lower left of this pane.
    3. Tap Add an Account under Accounts, and then tap Add an Email Account.
  2. If another account is suggested, tap Skip.
  3. Enter your NWACC email address in the Email Address field and tap Continue.
  4. A Microsoft login box will appear requesting your password. Enter your NWACC password, then click Sign In.
  5. After the account has been added, tap the back arrow icon in the upper left of the screen to leave the settings screen. Pull down to refresh your inbox and download new messages.
