Wellness and Fitness

Living a healthy lifestyle while in college can improve your ability to focus and achieve good grades, reduce stress levels, and also support a healthy immune system to prevent sickness. NWACC offers a variety of fitness options from our on-campus fitness center, health and physical education courses, club sports and a walking trail. 

Fitness Center

The NWACC Fitness Center offers weight and aerobic machines, free weights and kettle balls for overall muscle building and cardiovascular conditioning. Become a member and work-out in between your class schedule or at your most convenient times.  

The Fitness Center is located in Burns Hall, room 1458 and the locker facilities are located on the second floor at the west end in the men's and women's restrooms. Call 479-619-4138 or email jluedtke@nwacc.edu to learn more about becoming a member.

Center Hours:

  • Monday - Thursday: 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
  • Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Student Membership Costs:

  • Full year - $50, t-shirt included
  • Fall and Spring semester - $30 each semester
  • Summer - $20

Learn more about health and wellness through seated and online classes in wellness concepts, personal health and safety and nutrition in health.

Learn a new physical education activity to help with your personal fitness and to add elective hours for graduation requirements.

Have experience running long distance in high school or just eager to join a collegiate sport? Join NWACC's men's and women's cross country program and take your athletic goals to the college level. 

Go for a run or walk in the fresh air on the walking trail located throughout Bentonville campus.
