FlexCo, Inc. is the administrator for the Cancer Insurance. The policy is underwritten by American Heritage Life Insurance Company. This voluntary plan pays benefits that can be used for non-medical, cancer-related expenses that health insurance might not cover. Benefits are paid as you go and cover the costs of specific treatments and expenses (up to the maximum allowed) as they happen. Cancer insurance is supplemental so it works in addition to other insurance employee may have. This policy contains a 30-day waiting period that begins on the effective date.
*Employee can authorize the payroll deduction to be pre-taxed (withheld before taxes rather than after taxes). This reduces Federal, State and Social Security withholding thereby increases employee take home pay.
All full-time employees are eligible to apply for coverage.
New Hires: All full-time employees are eligible to apply for coverage upon hire.
Qualifying Family Status Changes: Changes to coverage maybe made within 30 days of a qualifying family status change. Examples of a qualifying family status change are birth or adoption of a child, marriage and divorce.
