Peer Association for Student Success (PASS)

The mission of the Peer Association for Student Success (PASS) is to empower students to make positive choices in their academic and professional lives that will enable them to maximize their personal potential and achieve success at NorthWest Arkansas Community College.  PASS is coordinated by the Perkins Grant Office and is led by Student Advisors from across campus who have the option to become internationally certified through the College Reading and Learning Association.  PASS Student Advisors are trained to answer students’ questions, resolve issues, and assist students with:

  •  Studying (including personality and learning style analyses)
  •  Stress Management
  • Goal Setting
  •  Time Management
  •   Locating and Utilizing Campus Offices and Resources, such as the Academic Success Center, the Writing Center, the Financial Aid Department, the Advising Center, etc.

Your mentor will be there to help you succeed at NWACC.  In addition to developing a relationship with your mentor, you will have the opportunity to attend networking and educational workshops with them four times a year.

These workshops will cover such topics as financial literacy, the transfer process, and job searching that will help you not only during your time in school but for a lifetime.  After you have completed one year as a mentee, you will have the opportunity to become a mentor and give back to students just like you.
