Reserving Circulating Equipment
To reserve any of the equipment listed below, contact Bo Darde, the Library's Multimedia Specialist, or fill out an Equipment Reservation Request. Equipment requests are handled on a first-come, first-serve basis, so place your request as early as possible to improve the likelihood that the item will be available when you need it. Borrowing times vary depending on availability and demand. Reservations are limited to current faculty and staff only. Audience Response Systems
Want to create interactive Microsoft PowerPoint presentations to better engage your class or staff? Audience response systems such as TurningPoint let you insert interactive questions into your lectures. Students use a handheld response unit to submit their answers, and the entire class can view the results on screen. Use this technology to assess comprehension, administer quizzes, and better engage your audience.

Audio Recording Equipment
Do you need professional-grade microphones for recording an event or presentation? The NWACC Library offers high-quality microphones for faculty and staff use. Use them in conjunction with a mic stand and one of the Library's video cameras, and you'll have everything you need to produce professional-looking and -sounding recordings. The Library also has a handheld digital recorder if you need to record a lecture or personal audio notes.

Need to film an event, take pictures, or video conferences as part of a classroom project? Check out a digital camera, camcorder, or webcam from the Library. Choose from one digital camera, three digital camcorders, and two webcams. Each includes all the flash memory cards, video cassettes, rechargeable batteries, cables, and other accessories necessary to complete your multimedia project. The Library also has four camera tripods available for check out.

Laptops, iPads, & Portable Projectors
Going to an academic or professional conference and need a computer to use while you travel? The Library has seven Windows-based notebook computers available for check out and two Apple iPad tablet computers. One of these laptops also includes a portable projector that you can use if delivering a presentation while out of town. In addition, two standalone projectors are available for check out if you already have access to a computer.

Multimedia Players
Do you need to screen a DVD, Blu-Ray, videocassette, or other multimedia format in class? The Library has a range of DVD and Blu-ray players, VCRs, CD players, and cassette players available for faculty and staff use. Each playback device includes the basic cables and accessories needed for playback. VCRs and cassette decks also support recording, but no blank media is included. The Library also offers additional cables and accessories if you need to perform a specific task or connect the device to a non-standard television or other input device.
