Faculty Placement Criteria
Experience:
1 year full-time post-secondary teaching = 1 step placement
2 years full-time non post-secondary teaching = 1 step placement
2 years of full-time related professional employment = 1 step placement
2 years of part-time post-secondary teaching = 1 step placement
Additional placement considerations:
No placement credit for graduate student teaching experience.
No more than one year of placement credit may be earned in any given year.
Placement credit is awarded under only one of these categories in any given year (so two part-time teaching jobs in one year = ½ year credit, not 1 year)
No initial scale placement may total 10 years maximum step placement. No new employee will be given an initial credit of more than ten years experience.
