Firefox 3.6 can still be found at the Firefox 3.6 Download Page. You will need to turn off the automatic updates or Firefox will force you into the current version when you restart your computer.

2. In the options window click on the Advanced heading (the sprocket icon). Click the Update tab then uncheck the box for Firefox.

1. Go to the Tools menu, hover over 'Pop-up Blocker', select 'Turn off Pop-up blocker'.

You may also leave your Pop-up blocker turned on and add an exception for https://nwacc-bb9.blackboard.com by going to the 'Pop-up Blocker Settings'.

2. Click on the Security tab, select the Internet zone, then click the Custom level... button.

3. Scroll down to the bottom of the list. There will be a heading called Scripting. Under Active Scripting click on Enable. Scroll down to the subheading Scripting of Java applets, confirm it is set to Enable.

If you see this in the checker and are sure you are using Internet Explorer 8, then your browser is in Compatibility Mode. You need to change this to work in Blackboard properly.

NOTE: Safari for Windows is not support by Blackboard, however I have tested Safari 5.1 on my Windows 7 computer. If you experience problems please double check your settings using the instructions below. If you are unable to correct the issue the recommendation is to use one of the other browser choices.
