College at the Crossing - Highlands Crossing Center, Bella Vista, Arkansas

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of NWACC College at the Crossing (CATC) in Bella Vista is to be a community outreach center that provides a comprehensive cross section of classes, seminars, and customized training programs for Northwest Arkansas and adjacent areas.  These initiatives are designed to assist individuals in developing lifelong skills in a positive and exciting learning environment.  Acquired skills will assist individuals in enhancing their personal attributes, keeping up with changing technologies, and being better equipped for the workforce—now and in the future.

NWACC’s College at the Crossing (CATC) is an educational center dedicated to providing excellent non-credit classes and customized training programs to individuals and organizations in Bella Vista and surrounding areas.

College at the Crossing opened in August 2004 offering personal enrichment (non-credit) classes in health and fitness, computer technology, humanities and arts, crafts, writing, banking and finance, field trips, and much more.

We offer free, fun events, such as monthly Brown Bag Seminars with guest speakers from groups of law enforcement, politicians, authors, museum curators, and educators. Also, we show a monthly Movie Matinee and serve free popcorn.

Beginning with the 2008 fall semester non-credit, professional skills/talent development classes are being offered for those who want to earn continuing education units in the areas of accounting, marketing, computer technology, customer service, and leadership.

CATC office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.  The NWACC Bella Vista Center is located at 1801 Forest Hills Blvd., Suite 1000 (located in the patio level of the Highlands Crossings Center), in Bella Vista.
