NWACC AQIP Action Project 2007 Description

"Define/Support good teaching through a center for teaching and learning" (Three-year timeline)

The project will build on the student-centered and teaching-centered values of the Learning College which "places learning first and provides educational experiences for learners anyway, anyplace, anytime" by defining the mission and functions of a Center for Teaching and Learning. The action project will further develop the framework for increasing the opportunities for professional development for faculty to enhance student learning. Faculty will adopt successful teaching strategies for active learning and student engagement. And, staff will enhance student learning through the commitment to a learning-centered environment.
