Online Appointment Steps
Making an appointment online is the quickest and easier way schedule an advising visit:
Click on "Success Planner" and again when it drops down
Select the "Services" tab at the top of the Success Planner homescreen.
Under "'Services", carefullyselect the Advising Location of the Academic Advisor that you need to meet with.
Please note: Students following certain major/degree programs listed here ARE REQUIRED to meet with their assigned Academic Program Advisor (located under Academic Advising - Academic Program Advisors in SuccessPlanner Services tab) instead of an advisor in the Bentonville or WCC Academic Advising Centers.
Under "Service Members", choose an advisor listed and select "Schedule Appointment" option under the advisor.
Select the day/time that works best and enter the required information.
Selecct the location for your appointment - in-person in advisor office or online via Skype for Business (more info here)
When scheduling your appointment please select the most accurate "Reason" for your visit - this will help us prepare to see you.
Make sure you run and bring a degree audit to your appointment - this is required.
If you require additional assistance or are unable to make an appointment online, please contact the Advising Center directly at (479) 986-4008.
In-Person or Online through Skype
Current, Returning, and Visiting NWACC students now have a choice of scheduling a Skype for Business online advising appointment with some academic advisors. Best of all, all NWACC students already have a Skype for Business account so there is no need to create a new account - you simply log-in using your existing myNWACC Connection username and password.
This mode of advising is great if you are live far from campus or unable to come to campus yet still meet with an advisor.

Preparing for your Appointment
In preparation for your advising appointment, here are a few things you need to do to prepare:
Schedule your appointment in advance. At peak times of the year (such as April, November, or during the summer months) it may be difficult to get an appointment with your academic advisor at a moment's notice.
Prepare a selection of courses and print your degree plan. Include those courses that you'd like to take and/or think you may need for your degree or transfer plan.
For students intending to transfer after NWACC, familiarize yourself with the program/major requirements and/or admissions requirements for the school you plan on transferring to. Visit their website to obtain a list of courses that they require. This will help you and your advisor choose the most appropriate classes for your education.
Come with a list of questions and concerns written down. This will help you get the most out of your appointment and help us address your needs effectively.
And finally, show up early or on-time for your advising appointment. Remember to call to cancel or reschedule your appointment well in advance if you are unable to make it. This will allow another student to take your appointment time.
