Insurance & Liability
Insurance matters focus on the evaluation of liability, property/casualty, and automobile and other insurance policies, recommendations of the proper coverage and monitoring insurance plans as the college's needs change.
Risk Management, Compliance and Ethics works closely with several other college departments and the State of Arkansas Department of Insurance and seek to inform and assist the college community to minimize the risk of personal injuries, property losses or vehicle accidents involving college facilities or property.
The Executive Director for Risk Management, Compliance and Ethics is responsible to report any incidents or occurrences at any NWACC facility that may involved an insurance claim. Please contact Steve Pelphrey at 619-4127 or spelphre@nwacc.edu to report any incident or occurence.

College Student Activities Waiver and Release Forms
Liability matters focus on establishing policies and procedures for activities of college employees or students where liability could be an issue or concern. The forms below are to be signed by students before participating in the following activties:
- Instructional Field Trips
- Student organization and club activities
- The College Fitness Center or the Corporate Learning Challenge Course
- Skilled trades classes
- Intramural or club sports
- College Drama Department classes or productions

Foreign or Domestic Student Travel
Student activities that involve more than overnight travel to a domestic location or any travel outside the United States must be planned carefully. The Risk Management and Public Safety Departments can assist those who are planning for such activities and request that you contact Steve Pelphrey at 619-4127 or spelphre@nwacc.edu for a meeting to discuss these plans. Guidelines for domestic and foreign travel by students and employees at the College are listed below for your convenience.
