Risk Management, Compliance and Ethics

Mission Statement

The mission of the Risk Management, Compliance and Ethics Division is to help reduce exposure to losses to the College, its employees, students, and visitors to the greatest extent possible, and to help eliminate the unanticipated financial impact of losses whenever possible.

Mr. Pelphrey is also the official NWACC Ethics Compliance Officer.

Please report any risk management, compliance or ethics concerns immediately to Steve Pelphrey by phone or e-mail.

  • Provides oversight of college contracts and agreements.
  • Leads and works with other components of the College in emergency planning, disaster recovery planning, safety and environmental assessment, and risk and liability issues.
  • Plans, organizes and directs College internal policy auditing activities.
  • Serves the college as a resource in areas of general risk management, risk education, loss prevention and control and insurance evaluation.
  • Serves as liasion to college legal counsel.
  • Responsible for the college property and liability insurance policies.
  • Administers the NWACC workplace ethics program
