SIFE second annual golf tourney April 21, 2008

BENTONVILLE (Sept. 21, 2007) - Becky Hudson, Alumni Relations Coordinator and SIFE Advisor at NorthWest Arkansas Community College, has announced that the 2nd annual “NWACC Golf Gets SIFE'd” golf tournament will be held April 21, 2008.

The tournament will be held at Stonebridge Meadows Golf Club, located just east of downtown Fayetteville on Highway 16.

The first SIFE golf tournament was held this past spring. It had a fantastic turnout, Hudson said, and team members said they will be back again in April 2008.

“The golf tournament is our big fundraiser and will help send team members to Guatemala on spring break to work with John Brown University to help create economic opportunity in a ghetto area of Guatemala City,” Hudson said. “The team will also need funds tocompete at the national competition that will be held in Chicago in the spring as well as funds to complete other projects.”

The NWACC SIFE team is working hard on projects to help those in our own community as well, she said.

“I hope that you will all consider spending a day at the golf course while helping our students complete their projects,” she said.

“I would enjoy the opportunity to tell you all about the wonderful team the College has this year,” she said. “These students truly want to make a difference in their community, state, and world.”
