U.S. Senator Mark Pryor will be on campus
BENTONVILLE (Aug. 21, 2007) – U.S. Senator Mark Pryor will be on campus about 1:30 p.m. today, touring the NWACC Student Center with members of the NWACC Student Ambassador and Activity Board, College President Dr. Becky Paneitz and NWACC Board of Trustees Chair Mark Lundy.
Sen. Pryor is expected to tour the first floor, the second floor and the third floor, dropping in on a class and visiting with students. If you’re teaching on the SC third floor at that time and would be open to the Senator visiting your class for a very brief time, please email me as soon as possible.
The entire tour is expected to last no more than 1 hour. If you are (or can be) in the area, please extend your appreciation to him for his extensive efforts in public and higher education, including the work he did in July 2007 passing the Higher Education Package. This increased the maximum award to Pell Grant recipients: http://pryor.senate.gov/newsroom/details.cfm?id=279444&
