RTC begins year with 314 at Fayetteville, 59 in Gentry

            FAYETTEVILLE (Aug 21, 2007) – The NorthWest Arkansas Community College Regional Technology Center opened its doors Monday to 314 secondary students along with 59 secondary students enrolled in technical classes at the RTC’s Gentry facility.

            “This combined enrollment exceeds last year’s beginning technical class enrollment,” RTC Dean of Career and Technical Education Paul Rehberg said.

            HeadStart begins next week on the RTC campus.  Dr. Cathy McAuliffe’s credit students will be working with that program.

            NWACC opened its RTC Gentry location Monday. It has 28 students in criminal justice programs, 15 in medical professions, 11 in aviation and five in pre-engineering.

            NWACC has 88 students taking concurrent classes at the RTC this fall.
