NWACC to celebrate 5 De Mayo

Cinco de Mayo will be celebrated Monday, May 5, at NWACC and feature education, culture, entertainment and food.

Among those scheduled to speak are College President Dr. Becky Paneitz and Maria Elena Peters with the Arkansas Governor’s Office.

Dr. Paneitz will give a welcome at 12:30 p.m. in the Student Center. Margarita Vance will provide a history of the annual event.

Others speakers include a representative from the Attorney General’s Office and Arkansas Department of Higher Education, speaking about Minority Scholarships.
