NWACC Offers Culinary and Hospitality Classes and Demos

BENTONVILLE (Thursday, Oct. 23) - The Corporate Learning Division and Culinary/Hospitality department at NWACC have teamed up to offer several new classes to the public. The classes will feature the recipes and expertise of chefs Lou Rice, Vince Pianaltos and Michael Kuefner, and hospitality instructor DeDe Hamm.

Classes to be offered for Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 include:
Cooking 101 (Nov 4);
Cooking for a Healthy Lifestyle (Nov 11 & Jan 16);
Holiday Cooking (Nov 15);
Soups, Stews, and Chowders (Jan 24);
Breakfast and Brunch (Feb 7);
Baking the Best (Feb 21);
BBQ Like a Pro (Mar 21);
Small Event Planning (Mar 7); and
ServSafe Certification, dates to be determined.

Cooking 101 focuses on basic cooking tips and techniques for the beginner featuring quick and easy recipes.
Cooking for a Healthy Lifestyle focuses on tips for good food nutrition and safety and healthy recipes.
Holiday Cooking focuses on new and imaginative food preparation ideas for the holidays.
Each class will feature recipes and cooking demonstrations by Chef Lou Rice, with plenty of tasting. These classes are 3 to 5 hours in length and cost between $70 and $85 per person.
