NWACC launches Master Plan Community Needs Survey

TAKE THE SURVEY THRU DEC. 21: www.nwacc.edu/MasterPlanSurvey.php

BENTONVILLE (Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007) – NorthWest Arkansas Community College is in the process of updating its master facilities plan and seeks input from community members. NWACC serves students in Benton and Washington counties through its main campus in Bentonville and several regional centers.

“Our goal is to do the best job possible matching our programs and services to community needs,” College President Dr. Becky Paneitz said. She noted that the College has grown significantly since completing its first Master Facilities Plan in 2004.

NWACC offers classes in Bella Vista, Rogers, Springdale, Gentry, and Fayetteville in addition to its main campus in Bentonville.

“Updating the College’s Master Plan gives us an opportunity to align our programs with the needs of each community,” she said.

One way the College intends to learn about community needs is through a brief online survey. The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete and asks what NWACC programs residents would like to see offered in their community.

The survey, which is completely anonymous, is available online at www.nwacc.edu/MasterPlanSurvey.php and will be available through Friday, Dec. 21.

Feedback from this survey will be used to guide discussion in community focus groups to be held throughout northwest Arkansas in late January 2008.

Residents who would prefer a paper survey, or who have questions about the survey or the College’s master planning process can contact Dr. Susan Holmes at 479-619-4197 or email her at sholmes@nwacc.edu.
