Fire Science Department Hosts Firefighter Workshop

BENTONVILLE (Monday, June 9, 2008) - The NWACC department of Fire Science sponsored a workshop recently for area fire fighters. According to Fire Science faculty member Jeff Sprott, the workshop, titled “Taking Care of Our Own,” taught participants how to be prepared for their worst nightmare: a line-of-duty death of a firefighter.

Firefighters and fire department chaplains from Arkansas, Missouri, and Mississippi attended the one-day session that was taught by facilitators from the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
