Retail Management Program Sets Two Saturday Enrollment Days
BENTONVILLE (Tuesday, June 3, 2008) – The Retail Management program at NorthWest Arkansas Community College will hold enrollment day events on two Saturdays, June 28 and July 26.
“The event is open to anyone interested in advancing a career in retail operations and management by obtaining an Associate of Applied Science degree in Business Management with a specialization in retail,” said Patrice Whitley, program marketing and recruitment coordinator.
NWACC staff will be available 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days at the Shewmaker Workforce Technology Center. They will help current and prospective students enroll and answer questions on admissions, class schedules and financial aid.
Students interested in a career within the retail industry can complete either the degree, or take courses they are interested in and receive one of the following certificates.
- Business Management Certificate (27 credit hours)
- Retail Management Certificate (21 credit hours)
Students who complete the general education required courses are awarded the AAS Degree in Business Management upon completion of these two certificates.
Most classes are available online for convenience and flexibility.
For more information, contact Whitley at 479-936-5161 or e-mail her.
The program is funded by the Wal-Mart Foundation and began this past spring semester.
