Ginny Meek selected as AASFAA Rookie of the Year

BENTONVILLE (Friday, Dec. 18, 2008) - NWACC employee Ginny Meek was selected "Rookie of the Year" by the Board of the Arkansas Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (AASFAA). Ginny works in the Financial Aid Office as a Financial Aid Officer and has been with the college 5 years this fall. Ginny was nominated by her supervisor, Michelle Cordell, Director of Financial Aid. The Rookie of the Year award goes to an individual with five years or less of financial aid experience that the Board feels has made significant contributions to the financial aid profession.
As a recipient of this award, Ginny was recognized at the AASFAA fall conference and the South West Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (SWASFAA) annual conference this fall. AASFAA pays the registration fee for the Rookie to attend SWASFAA and receive recognition in person. In addition a scholarship will be provided to NWACC.
