Alumni Association holds Kick Off Picnic

                     BENTONVILLE (Monday, August 25, 2008) – The NorthWest Arkansas Community College Alumni Association celebrated its start at an Alumni Welcome Back to NWACC Picnic on Saturday, August 23, in the Student Center.

          Live entertainment was provided by the Kory Montgomery Band. Pictured at right are Kory and his mother Dale Montgomery, a student advisor at NWACC.

          The College is seeking alumni for volunteer opportunities to work helping during registration, recruiting and mentoring students. The NWACC Alumni Association will also be a way for alumni to network and reconnect to old friends.

            Scott and Sheila Hall have both earned various certificates at the college and are working towards earning more credits. They attended the event to support the college and to get more information about the fledgling association.

“We like NWACC and wanted to support it,” Scott Hall said.

Alumni Relations Coordinator Becky Hudson could not agree more.

“I am an alumni and I see this as an opportunity to help future students,” she said. “If it had not been for NWACC I would not have gone to college.”
