Reference & Instructors' Reserves

Librarians stationed at the reference desk area on the west side of the library are specially trained to help you devise a search strategy to locate the materials you need. In addition to their reference desk duties, Stacy is the References Coordinator Librarian and manages Electronic Resources, Rachel provides customized information literacy and library instruction, Gail is the Technical Services Librarian, Steve is the Library Multimedia Specialist, Virginia is the Collection Management Librarian, and Sarah manages Instructor Reserves and offers part-time library-wide assistance.

If you need help choosing the right sources, using the Library catalog to locate books, pictures, and other materials, or searching the online databases or World Wide Web, ask a reference librarian!

The reference desk also houses materials that NWACC faculty put on reserve for their students to study. In most cases these materials are in-house use only, although some material may be checked out for an abbreviated period of time.

The reference desk is also the place to make additional payments to your student printing account.
