3) What are my options for attending classes?  Back

NWACC classes are offered during the day, evening, and weekend with certain courses also available online. Classes are available throughout Washington and Benton county with facilities in Bentonville, Rogers, Bella Vista, Fayetteville, and Springdale. Online courses are taken over the Internet with some exams and meetings on campus.

4) What are my options for Financial Aid or payment plans?  Back

In 2005, NWACC awarded Pell grants and loans to 1,210 students. Federal financial aid is available for eligible students. Visit our Financial Aid webpage to learn about eligibility and how to apply. The general rule is that it takes 4-6 weeks to process Financial Aid applications. You should begin your FASFA immediately.

Click here to visit the Financial Aid website.

Students not receiving Financial Aid or scholarships are required to setup a payment plan if tuition cannot be paid in full.

5) What can I do at NWACC?  Back

NWACC offers three types of certification: Certificates of Proficiency, Associate of Applied Science, and Associate degrees. If you intend to transfer to a university to earn a bachelor degree, then you should work towards an Associate degree. An Associate of Applied Science degree involves two academic years of career specific training in a high-demand, high-wage field which leads directly to the workforce.

Certificates of proficiency are short programs of study designed to provide training or supplement a bachelor degree with additional training.

6) Where can I go from NWACC?  Back

NorthWest Arkansas Community College is fully accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges. Credits are therefore accepted by most colleges and universities in the United States. Even though transfer courses at NWACC are accepted at most colleges and universities, you should consult with an NWACC advisor to ensure the courses you take are applicable to the degree you are seeking. Please be advised that it is also ultimately your responsibility to check with the institution where credits are being transferred.

NWACC has transfer plans available for specific degrees at area institutions, such as Business or Psychology at the University of Arkansas or Criminal Justice at Missouri State Southern University. Transfer plans detail exactly which courses to take that will transfer towards an intended degree.
