Accessing WebCT

Segment 1 – Accessing WebCT

WebCT is a powerful computer program that Northwest Arkansas Community College has chosen to use with its online courses.

We want to give you some general information about how to use the program so that you will be successful in your online class.

It is important that you know about the various ways to get into WebCT.  The easiest way is through My NWACC Connection, on the My Courses tab at the top of the page. 

Another way is directly through the WebCT server at the web address shown on the screen [http://webct.nwacc.edu].  In order to access WebCT from here, you will need to know your six-digit WebCT pin number.  If you do not know this number, please call Student Records at the numbers shown here [479-619-4388 or 4398].

You should also know that more detailed help is available on the NWACC Distance Learning web site, which can be accessed from the college’s homepage [www.nwacc.edu].  Click on the Online Learning link on the left menu, and go to the area called WebCT Login Tutorial (on the right side of the page, under "Special Links").  Here you will find detailed instructions about other aspects of accessing WebCT, including information about course access codes and being a successful online student.
