Distance Learning
Blackboard CE Information
Blackboard CE) is a program that NWACC uses to manage our online courses, as well as some of our online support web pages for distance learning classes. This software helps us to set up accounts for you as a student, and provides features for the web pages such as discussion boards, internal e-mail, chat, grade tracking, online quizzes and tests, and much more. Each class web page in Blackboard CE is different because instructors can choose to use only those tools they feel are needed for their class.
Blackboard CE sets up web pages, meaning that anyone with an Internet connection and a compatible Web Browser can access courses. Students must first enroll in the class before they can participate. In this way, students can be secure that the whole world is not looking in on their work and that only those who are supposed to be in class are given access.
The NWACC Blackboard CE is located at:
http://nwacc.blackboard.com
The majority of NWACC's online classes can be found at that address. Transfer Math, some Developmental Math and the Intro to Criminal Justice courses use other specialized systems.
