What to do if there are Blackboard system problems
Be Prepared!
Despite our best efforts to maintain system reliability, technology sometimes fails and you should be prepared in advance.
1. Make sure your NWACC email is working, and check it regularly. If there is a problem with Blackboard, your instructor will attempt to contact you via NWACC email to let you know what is happening.
2. Make sure your password for the direct Blackboard nwacc.blackboard.com site works.
Your password will usually be your date of birth, MMDDYY. For example, March 10, 1972 will be 031072. However, at some point in the admissions process you may have changed it. If you need help to determine your password, contact dl@nwacc.edu
Practice logging in at http://nwacc.blackboard.com to make sure everything works.
What to Do
In the event of a problem with Blackboard, here's what you should do:
1. Contact your instructor immediately via NWACC email, and watch your NWACC email for updates from your instructor. He/She will inform you about any adjustments that may be necessary in your course.
2.Try logging in directly to Blackboard. If the problem is only with My NWACC Connection, you may still be able to log in at http://nwacc.blackboard.com You will need your username and password as explained above.
3. You may also wish to subscribe to our Twitter System Status Updates: http://www.nwacc.edu/disted/NWACCDLonTwitter.php
Please be assured that in event of a system emergency, we will be doing everything we can to restore service to normal as quickly as possible.
