NorthWest Arkansas Community College’s commitment to workforce development is evidenced by the Shewmaker Center for Workforce Technologies, home to Corporate Learning. The Shewmaker Center is a 44,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility with 100 MBit ethernet Internet access that includes:
- 5 ‘Smart’ classrooms with computer, LCD projector, and audio/video capabilities with up to 60 seating capacity when 2 rooms are combined
- 4 Up-to-date computer labs with up to 32 seating capacity when 2 rooms
are combined
- 4 Industrial bays
- 2 Conference rooms with wireless access
- Multi-functional, high-tech, wireless auditorium with 145 seating capacity
- Ropes Challenge Course with 7 high/12 low elements situated in a wooded area north of the Center
Corporate Learning Fayetteville Center
NWACC's newest facility in Fayetteville is located at the corner of North College Avenue and Joyce Boulevard. This facility features state-of-the-art computer labs with seating capacities of up to 30 per room, classrooms, meeting space, and testing rooms.
